Rabbi Earl A. Grollman is an internationally recognized bereavement counselor who has been named Hero of the Heartland and given the Distinguished Human Service Award from Yeshiva University, among countless other awards. He is author of the best-selling Living When a Loved One Has Died (Beacon / 2719-7 / $10.00 pb), among many other books, and articles about him and his work have appeared in USA Today, Harper's, Reader's Digest, Ann Landers, People, and in virtually every major American daily. I have Earl's other Book and this And It was a quick yet Deep book for someone who has personally have to cope with this as best as possible, it is difficult to understand yet so simple as the book points out be there for them no matter what, although there are some sources in the end of the book I disagree that should NOT be there such as EndofLife Overall the book has good day by day reading some which has been in the other book but useful.

Insight Into The Caregiver's Journey

You see chapter headings like: Accepting the Diagnosis, Beginning to Cope, Finding Support, Achieving Compassion, and Questions and Answers about Alzheimer's. My expectations were then for a factual book dealing with the emotional issues of the disease. It was a shock to open the pages and see the poetry format.
These might make good discussion starters for an Alzheimer's support group. Topics like grief or anger make the reader think about their reaction to the changes going on.
Probably I'd have given this more stars if the cover had prepared me for what was inside.
