Change the way you think about reading to children!

This book is an excellent resource for parents, teachers and speech language pathologists working with children. The examples are wonderful. The approaches discussed make so much sense but are not likely to occur to someone who doesn't have a rich background in this area. The recommended strategies are simple to implement, yet the results are far reaching. It's a quick read, the language is accessible and it will change the way you read to your children/students.

Reading aloud to children, especially from texts that are above their personal reading level, or to introduce new genres, is crucial to the learning process. This book is an excellent resource for parents and educators. All the how's, what's and whys. I highly recommend it.
