The "Good Questions to Ask" are all open-ended and easily foster class discourse

Why would anyone sit and read the CCSSM as they are? Why not journey through them with Marian Small, who can every step of the way clarify intentions, provide examples, and suggest open-ended questions?
As a middle school math coach, I need to fully understand both where my students are coming from and where they're expected to go within the domain of algebra. Additionally, as a 6th grade math teacher in a high-poverty school, I also need to find the gaps in my students understanding and plan my own differentiated instruction. This resource meets both these needs. Marian Small "uncomplicates" by elucidating the CCSS progression, making its path between grades clear as well as intended student understanding. The "Good Questions to Ask" are all open-ended and easily foster class discourse. This resource -- and its sister, Uncomplicating Fractions -- has been invaluable to my lesson and unit designs. I highly recommend it as your go-to resource to help you integrate algebra into all aspects of your curriculum.
